Protecting our heritage
Chandelao Garh is more than a hotel; it is a storied home that has witnessed centuries of Rajasthan’s rich history. Preserving this legacy is at the heart of our philosophy. Every stone, courtyard, and architectural detail speaks of the heritage of our family and culture, and we see it as our mission to honour and protect this legacy.
Chandelao Garh has been the ancestral home of our family since 1744. The current owner, Thakur Praduman Singh, is the 16th Thakur (local nobleman) of Chandelao, coming from a long line of nobles entrusted with the governance on Chandelao and certain neighbouring villages in pre-independent India on behalf of the Royal Family of Marwar. With deep roots in the heritage of Rajasthan, he is dedicated to preserving the cultural legacy and grandeur of Chandelao. Thakur Praduman Singh is joined in this endeavour by his son, Kunwar Veer Aditya Singh, and his daughter-in-law, Kunwarani Yashodhara Kumari, who share his passion for tradition and hospitality. Together, they bring a familial warmth to the Garh, inviting guests into the history, stories, and timeless beauty that make Chandelao Garh a true treasure of Rajasthan.
